Gold Kangaroo bullion coins from the Perth Mint have been produced by the Mint every year since 1986, and display a different Kangaroo image each year. The obverse of the 2022 1/2 oz Gold Kangaroo bullion coin features imagery of a kangaroo and its joey bounding across a flat, grassy plain with hillocks on the horizon. The Australian Nugget (Gold Kangaroo) is an Australian gold coin which was first minted at Perth Mint in 1986 and, thanks to the annual changing motif on the front, enjoys great popularity worldwide. The coin has a fineness of 999,9 and is recognised legal tender. Since 1987, the Australian Nugget has been minted in units of 1/20 ounce, 1/10 ounce, 1/4 ounce, 1/2 ounce and 1 ounce. The value is between 5 and 100 Australian Dollar. Meanwhile larger units of 2 ounce, 10 ounce and 1 kilogram are available.
